FLAG CAMP  ( FLAG = Fun Learning About God )

FLAG Camp, activities, Bible stories and crafts for refugee children, is held the 1st and 3rd Sabbath of every month beginning at 2:00pm at the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center at 3586 Indian Creek Way, Clarkston, GA 30021 or weather permitting in the open space between the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center and 704-706 Jolly Ave apartments.

On October 20, 2018 members of F.R.E.E. along with 8 refugee children will travel to the Lithonia SDA Church 3533 Ragsdale Rd, Lithonia, GA 30038 to attend Sabbath service and share the story of Friends of Refugees Providing Education and Empowerment with the congregation.. Afterwards the congregation has graciously agreed to provide lunch thus providing an opportunity to converse one-on-one with the children so as to get to know them and their stories. Clara Naibaho and Naomi Tjirimuje will accompany the refugee children and transport them to the church.

On October 27, 2018 members of F.R.E.E. along with approximately 16 refugee children will travel to the North Georgia Mountains to attend Sabbath service and share the story of Friends of Refugees Providing Education and Empowerment with the congregation of the Fannin County SDA Church at 527 Forge Mill Rd, Morganton, GA 30560. Afterwards the congregation has graciously agreed to provide lunch thus providing an opportunity to converse one-on-one with the children so as to get to know them and their stories. The F.R.E.E. bus will begin loading at 8:00 am and depart promptly at 8:20 am from the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center located at 3586 Indian Creek Way in Clarkston, GA 30021.

On Sunday November 11, 2018, F.R.E.E. will bus refugee students, 1st thru 8th grade, to the Funk Heritage Center at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia 30183-2981. F.R.E.E. School Bus will follow normal weekday pickup route for DACS students. Schedule will be as follows...

1. Start of bus pickup route 9:00 am

2. Bus departure from Clarkston, GA...10:40 am 

3. Picnic lunch outside the Funk Heritage Center...12:00 - 1:30 pm

4. Museum tour begins...1:30 pm

On December 1, 2018 members of F.R.E.E. along with 12 refugee children will travel to the Cartersville SDA Church 311 Old Mill Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120 to attend Sabbath service and share the story of Friends of Refugees Providing Education and Empowerment with the congregation.. Afterwards the congregation has graciously agreed to provide lunch thus providing an opportunity to converse one-on-one with the children so as to get to know them and their stories.
