Picture Day

April 17, 2018 - Every year in spring F.R.E.E. holds "Picture Day" at DACS to gather photos and shoe sizes of the refugee students. The information gathered is then used to solicit donations of shoes and school supplies for distribution to refugee students for the following school year.

 

DAJA REGISTRATION

April 22, 2018 Kelli Czaykowsky, president and executive director of F.R.E.E. will join refugee children and their parents and Decatur Adventist Junior Academy staff at DAJA to enroll the first batch of refugee children to attend class at DAJA beginning at the start of the 2018-2019 school year as F.R.E.E. launches the expansion of the F.R.E.E. Project into DAJA.

April 29, 2018 Hope Missions 360 will present a humanitarian award to Kelli Czaykowsky, president and executive director of Friends of Refugees providing Education and Empowerment for her tireless dedicated efforts in working with the refugee community of Clarkston and the outstanding accomplishments achieved by the organization.

 

FLAG CAMP  ( FLAG = Fun Learning About God )

FLAG Camp, activities, Bible stories and crafts for refugee children, is held the 1st and 3rd Sabbath of every month beginning at 2:00pm at the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center at 3586 Indian Creek Way, Clarkston, GA 30021 or weather permitting in the open space between the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center and 704-706 Jolly Ave apartments.

Vacation Bible School

The bus will stop at 5pm at Pastor Suan Mang's apartment at 3655 Indian Creek Way in Clarkston, Georgia and also at South Jolly Avenue for pickup of refugee children riding the bus to vacation bible school (VBS) at DACS located at 2959 GA-120, Duluth, GA 30096 . Cohutta Springs Youth Camp

Every year throughout the summer months F.R.E.E. busses refugee children to youth camp for a week of summer fun, fellowship and worship at picturesque Cohutta Springs in the North Georgia Mountains. Come enjoy lots of outdoor physical activities in the beauty of God's creation.

Visit to Collegedale Adventist Church

June 23, 2018 - F.R.E.E. staff along with many refugee children will depart at 7:45am from the parking lot of the F.R.E.E. Outreach Center to travel by bus to the Collegedale Adventist Church located at 4829 College Dr E, Collegedale, TN 37315. There we will share the story of F.R.E.E. history and our ongoing activities with the 10:15am Collegedale Sabbath school class members as they plan for a future mission project. An afternoon picnic at 1:15pm will allow members to meet the refugee children and provide ample time for questions and answers.

 

Uniform Day

Late July 2018 - Each year in late July F.R.E.E. busses refugee students to the uniform store for school uniform fittings and purchase then on to the school for complition of school registration forms for the coming school year.
